After starting her career with a short film in 1989, she gained recognition for her role as Sonja Wiebe in the soap opera "Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten" from 1997 to 1998. Bordihn, with three older brothers, initially pursued modeling, later studying at the Weist-Barron School in New York and continuing her education in Berlin. Her portrayal of Sonja Wiebe marked her entry into television, and she contributed songs to the series' albums.
