Karalus has hosted various shows, including the RTL talk show "Birte Karalus." She worked as a travel and traffic journalist for ARD and as a sports presenter for DSF Offensiv, Punkt 6, Punkt 9, and RTL aktuell. Karalus authored the book "Iss dich schön, klug und sexy mit Functional Eating." She has been an ambassador for the Jane Goodall Institute-Austria and the German Stroke Aid Foundation.
