Jannssen embarked on her pageant journey back in 2014, stepping onto the Miss Colorado USA and Miss Colorado Teen USA stage in the Miss division. Though she didn't secure a spot in the top ranks, she earned the Non-finalist Interview Award, showcasing her communication skills.
Her determination persisted, leading her back to the Miss Colorado USA competition in 2015. This time, her efforts bore fruit as she clinched the position of fourth runner-up, demonstrating her growth and dedication.
Continuing her journey, Jannssen made her presence felt once again in 2016, achieving the title of fourth runner-up for the second consecutive year.
Undeterred, she made her fourth appearance in 2017, and her resilience paid off when she was crowned Miss Colorado USA 2017. The crowning moment occurred on October 23, 2016, at the Union Colony Civic Center in Greeley, Colorado. Although she represented Colorado in the 2017 Miss USA pageant, she didn't secure a placement in the competition.
